This grove of old growth redwoods is about 10 minutes from where I live. Apparently the Ewok party from Return of the Jedi was filmed here. It's probably about a 15 minute drive from there to Lucas' Sky Walker Ranch.

I like it for contrasty scenes like this. I don't think I could have done this with Velvia. Astia 100F doesn't have the reciprocity problems of Velvia either. I don't know why I pushed it here. Under the redwoods it is usally very dark and this was no exception but there was no wind and I really didn't have to push it. Just habit I guess.

I punched up the greens a bit because I remember how vibrant the greens were when I was shooting. I didn't change the contrast or saturation on the rest of the image at all.

After your description the image of Mr Skywalker almost appears so clearly here that it belongs in EHK... :lol:
