When I traveled to the Cape this summer my goal was to get some decent Nuthatch pictures. This is the best I could do with the White Nuthatch. I will keep trying next year. They are a fun bird to watch.

Comments appreciated.

Canon 20D, 500/4, 1.4 TC w/ extension tube, F8, 1/250, ISO 800, fill-flash, raw converted in C1, curves in PS.

Very nice Chris. It has a bit of a cool cast overall. Don't you have nuthatches where you live?

I do but I live in the city and its hard to get a decent picture.

Thanks for the comments. I agree about the cool cast to it. Maybe I will try the PS warming fliter and see if it looks better.

Neat shot, not very often we get a WBN perched like a warbler. Nice to see it at rest.

Nice one Chris. It's super sharp and that's a great head-turn.

Other than the cool cast that Chris mentioned, this is a great shot Chris! I like the angle of the perch and the bird's position.

This is a good shot of a very difficult bird to expose well. They are fun to watch
