Pectoral sandpiper in habitat

Juvenile pectoral sandpiper hiding in the grass.
Shot last week in CT.



Canon 1Dm2, 600mmf4 w/1.4x at ISO320.
1/60th sec. at f/6.3, natural light.

Nice habitat shot Paul. That's definately how I often see these guys - tucked into wet, grassy areas.

I like the framing effect of the grass. The colors offset each other well. Does demonstrate how you see these guys usually.

Love the colors on this bird. Great natural capture. I would probably try cropping tighter to include less grass and perhaps off center the bird a little.
