Blend of 2 exposures 1 for the clouds, 1 for the moon:
10D, 1-4IS@400mm, tripod 1/40, 1sec f5.6 ISO 400 Just cut out the moon from the first exposure and put it on top of the second - with a little blending around the edges. Slight USM and contrast to punch it up a bit. Pano crop - mostly full frame horizontal. Forest fires in the southwest were giving us folks in the midwest some colorful sunsets and moonscapes late in the summer. This was one of those nights. -matt NSN 0017
