Taken on a late evening last March during the White-tailed Kite nesting/fledging activity on the upper mesa @ Bolsa Chica. Unfortunately, as previously noted on NSN by Larry Kaufman, the nesting tree was recently cut down by the property owner (a private individual who has nothing to do with the Bolsa Chica restoration).

A very nice shot and the branches below provide an excellent setting, Vince!
Would suggest a tighter crop from atop and right ...

Beautiful Image Vince. I think it could use a tad more saturation. And Thank You for the clarification about the property. I should have been more accurate in my previous post as I am very aware of this.

Agree with tighter crop suggestion. These birds are so beautiful you want to see them as close as possible! Great take off position you captured and I like the BG. I think cloning out all sticks except the one just below him might improve this. Nice image Vince!

Excellent timing, good exposition. I think that both vesions are nice, it's impossible to see which one is better (1st have more environment, 2nd one has more details). :) :)
