A great action shot with excellent timing, Fab!
I especially love that eye contact and the raised wings ...

Excellent action with this Willet. Crop, BG and low angle all good. Whites are hot on my monitor. Perhaps some highlight recovery using H/S in PS?

Way to go Fabs getting this action.

Great action Fab with nice detail, the whites are hot, but only by a little on my monitor, should be easy to bring down.

Great action shot. Hard to imagine a better one. This is one of my favorite shots among those I've seen posted recently.

Whites look a bit hot on my monitor also. I'd love to see the photo after your calibration and H/S work (as suggested by Robert) if still necessary.

Great action Fab! Exposure looks good in the repost. :) A bit tight IMO.The greyish areas to the right of the bird are a bit funny - looks like you have cloned out something.

Fab,
Great detail in the highlights now. As I said before, a tremendous photograph.

Fab,
I don't see any blown white on my CRT as orthers have pointed out. I admitted that the white near the tail is somewhat brighter that's all. I like the contrast of the original. The repost just looks muted to me ... :(

Great action shot Fab--the whites didn't look too hot on my monitor. Keep up these great shorebirds.

Very cool action shot Fab!!! Great angle and pose and I love the evil eye he's giving you telling you don't even think about coming near his fish! I'm looking at this on a laptop so I can't comment on the whites...

What a great shot, Fab!!!!!!!!!!!!! The action has been stopped, which is not easy to do. Glad that Estero was so good!

Fabiola, this is my honest opinion in regard to the hot whites mentioned: When an action shot is as good as this one, where there is a lot for the eyes to wonder around, the whites in this capture are of secondary importance *as long as they are not burned*. On my monitor, the whites do not seem to be burned in the first posting; I checked, not of them appear to be 255, 255, 255. I like the first posting very much, it looks brighter; plus the brighter whites on the body of the bird make the whites on the right wing and the tail to appear more subdued. The only thing that I like better in the repost is the extra detail in the shadowed area of the wing. Again, congratulations! :D

Thank you all for your input!!!

I did some quick highlight recovery since I'm a bit pressed for time, what I'll do is go back to the unconverted file and reprocess completely, with the whites in mind :D
Unfortunately, can't do it today

Again, your feedback is important and thanks :!:
