Dear friends,
Image
Here is my 1st attempt at New Adjustment Layers. It has had me baffled for some time but I think I understand it more.

Please fire away with changes I can make at future efforts. Things I would like to change are to have two birds almost the same size, and to work more at cutting around the background picture.

I did enjoy the magic of the process. :)

nice Trevor, some halos around the nearer bird...I'm pretty certain this should be in Digital Creations though...

Welcome to the fun wagon Trevor :D

I'm not sure of what you were trying to do here, to get both birds the same size, you need to trace one out with laso tool, select>feather by a couple of pixels and edit>copy where you want it. Then edit>transform>scale and size it to taste.

To be able to cut efficiently it's better if you enlarge the image and feather before you cut or copy.
To make a new layer out of your selection, go to Layer>new>layer via copy, it should place your selection in another layer. I'm doing this by memory since I'm not home now, hope it works.
Any other questions please feel free to ask

Thanks Fab and everyone else. I shall try again when I get a spare minute. I have checked out the level you all work at around here and I have a way to go... :o
