The light was lousy this day--very flat and boring. I tried to make the best of it, though.

This pile of rock is part of a huge landslide that probably happened centuries ago, at the lower end of Medicine Lake. Without this landslide, the lake itself would probably not exist.

This is very cool but I think the BG rocks are a bit distracting. Is there a way you could have shot from a bit higher up?

I agree about the BG. What was your aperture? do you remember? I think set at f/4.5 could of made a different.

Yea, the BG rocks do compete with the FG pile. This area looks really cool.

Maxis--the repost looks good (and I certainly don't mind). What did you do to it? (I've never had much success with blurring...)

The aperture was probably small to get as much DOF as possible in the foreground--I guess I didn't think about the background.

Thanks,

Paul,

I'm glad you don't mind. I used the Gaussian Blur tool and set it at 2 pixels in Photoshop 7, plus I pushed the colors just a hair.
