Caught this BWS (male) in the act ...
The shot was captured three days ago at a nature reserve here in Hong Kong.

So graceful and unique !!!!!!!!! Love the color of the background, it looks like a b&w image to which a touch of red on the eye and legs was added. Just exquisite!

Excellent image, plenty of detail and catching the pose and the reflection like you have. The colours do look slightly flat at least on my ordinary work monitor. A quick play suggests you might want to try clipping the histogram in levels on the white point end and maybe very slightly on the black end, just something to try and see what you think.

Nice KK, the slight head away pose not so much a problem in this image. Nice exposure control. Looks like typical HK light!!

Indeed you can clip the white, albeit just a tiny fraction of it, in levels before the white is blown. This would increase the contrast slightly. A matter of taste I suppose ...

Thanks for the suggestion, Chris!

Fabulous image -- just love it. The red eye really adds something to an already spectacular pose.

Finally looking at it on my monitor at home and it does look better there. Nice job getting details in bothe the blacks and whites.
