You usually don't see these birds in the open but this little girl was hunting an area along a roadside. I could not get very close but using stacked converters still yielded acceptable results. The post was definitely tilted.

Canon 20D, 500F4, 1.4x, 2XII, 1/500 sec, ISO 800, f13

Nice shot. The weathered post looks good, as does the BG.
Maybe a little more USM? Probably a result of the stacked TCs.

BTW, I had another shorebird op messed up by a PEFA this afternoon. That makes about six times just over the weekend. :wink:

Beautiful shot and bird Rob! I love the colours. I am wondering if the loss of detail in parts of the plumage has anything to do with a noise reduction software? we had a similar problem with a shot in the Europe Forum where a Kestrel lost detail due to Noise Ninja ? Interesting to find out. 8) :D
