I told ya not to look Carol...........but ya just had to didn't ya 8)  Now just in case you would like a larger version for your desktop Carol, try this one

http://www.fototime.com/7CDCE4F2E966942/orig.jpg

So standing guard at the beginning of the world wide web are the gate keepers. They can keep the place free of flies but not spammers, a bit of a shame that.

So the walls and steps with the web are from a shot of a spider in a web, taken into Paint shop pro and the feedback filter was used. Then into Photoimpact for the addition of the spiders, shadow, flood and the globe.

All the best artyholics :D

Danny.

You just knew I'd look anyway!!!!

The one I just had the close encounter with, is more like the one in top left corner. Thank heaven they don't come in the house!! The house (bathroom) ones are much darker!

I know I keep saying it (must get extremely boring! :? ) but I do love your use of perspective - and anything that takes these beauties further away gets my vote!!!

Gorgeous emerald green in this one - the Spiders version of the Led Zep. favourite!! :) 8) :D

LOL, you two are nothing but trouble.

So similar to that one Carol. Has Dave got a shotgun ??? They are a good size those, not sure on the variety or family of spider. Pretty spiky for sure. The one coming down the steps is a Wolf spider (Wolfie), very large but gentle and those I actually like. You can keep the rest though

Just looked on the Web (no pun intended!) and my one was a Garden Spider - Araneus diadematus - bodies of 13mm long - quite big enough for me!! :?

Ahh Ok, its an orb spider then. Looking at the butt on the one in here, it probably is a variety of orb. Roughly about the same size Carol. I think its just the spikes that scare some people. I've got a few nice high ratio macro shots of them, but I'll spare ya :D

All the best :D

NZ, you really ought to make something to make the females really sqeamish by including spiders, roaches, you know, those really yucky bugs....
