Ashness Bridge, Lake District, UK is one of the most photographed & painted places in the UK.

Both times I've visited I was unsatisfied with the results - the light was wrong, the dense trees on the left obscure the view of Derwent Water. I think Winter/Early spring would be the best time.

Anyhow, I converted one of the better shots to an arty effect and here's the result, which I think is OK:

Digital Art to the rescue once again!!!

The effect is nice, but at this size is not that visible. Have you tried running the effect a couple of more times and adding some more saturation???
It would be worth investigating :D

Very nice job, keep them coming 8) 8) 8)

You would be surprised at how often the images you don't like and ready to trash, turns out to be outstanding pieces when some digital effects are applied.

Really like this one Andy! Excellent!! :)

The effects show a but more in this one Andy. Love the sweeps and curves in this shot, what a great scene. Love the little bridge, thats neat and I would love to see this. Hope you catch the right day soon.

All the best Andy, nice use of effects to get this. :)

Danny.
Nature is the master, we are just mere clickers in time.
