Just wondering -- is there a FPA (Flaming Pear Anonymous) group anywhere nearby? I think I need help.

Original was taken at Boca Ciega Park in St. Pete last year.

Comments appreciated.

Beautiful nature shot.

Its a long queue to get in Christina :D . It has to be one of the most realistic effects out there and I think thats why it works so well for many images. In this one here, it would be very hard to know if it was used or not to be honest. Incredible in fact. Nice work and shot BTW. I must say I like that frame as well. Always appealed this type of see through frame. Better than a solid one IMHO, especially for nature shots.

All the best Christina, excellent work and man, it looks real :D :D

What did I do? Good question and not sure I can remember fully -- but I mainly used Mr. Contrast and Aetherize filters (they seem to be my favorites) on overlapping layers and with different settings and opacities. The bird itself, I pretty much left almost as the original by erasing out that part on some layers. The border was also done with those two filters and also the "Silver" filter -- which gave me a really great effect which I then inverted and erased out much of the center, I also applied a drop shadow to it. I tried a bunch of things, many of which I later deleted -- it's hard to know which! It's just a fun trial and error process.

Thanks again, all. I love the energy in this forum. Sometimes wish I had nothing to do all day but this.
