Ah, Ken...

My absolute favorite city in the world!!! Why?? The Art Institute, the Chicago Symphony, The Lyric Opera, Museum of Science & Industry, The Shedd, The Adler, The Field Museum, the blues, Giordano's Pizza, and Charlie Trotters!!! Just to name a few....

Great shot!!!!

Now, why not shoot from the same point when there is some snow on the ground??

Cheers,

Ken,
A friend did what I think is one of the neatest shots of Chicago I have seen, at dusk,, same lighting effect, but from somewhere out on the water, or breakwater doing over 180 degrees with a panoramic camera, great sky, etc. He is one of the best. I was never able to find that location to try to get a similar shot. this is very nice. I have to go back there sometime and see what happens. His panoramic was 10"x60". Not possible with a 35mm, or even most other cameras.
YOur photo is excellent and inspiring to return and visit again.

Steve, thanks for the response. It would have to be from a breakwater since this was an eight second exposure.

I think I've seen the shot you're talking about in one of the gallery/stores.

Ken, since you laud praise on so many images you deserve some yourself. Excellent image, perfect lighting, Not many blownout whites, star effect on lamps minimal but adds to the image. Great POV. Would love to see this as a poster to explore the details.
