Twas early, the frost was on the trees and this was a mini frozen landscape which reminded me of the badlands from the air.

10D, 180 f3.5 Sima macro
1/100 sec, f/16
Mode: Av
Metering: Center-weighted average
ISO: 400
AF mode: One-shot AF
Drive: Continuous: 1
White balance: Daylight

Hi Steve. I really like the textures and patterns formed by the bark and frost. Great vision on your part to see the similarity to the badlands- I can see what you mean!

Ken,
I left it at ISO 400 due to the light level at that time. I was taking other shots and saw this. I seems to have worked ok. I have not used the 10D at higher ISO levels. Perhaps I should try it.
