This was taken last week, again, on the bayou that runs behind my house. I did venture all the way to my mom's for this shot, nearly 1/2 a mile away!

Any suggestions, comments, opinions appreciated. What about cropping out the lower reflection and leaving this more square?

This looks almost like a painting to me. I don't know if it's my screen or what, but it looks very soft or out of focus.

Egret does look a little soft, but I had assumed it was deliberate and the focus was on the spotlit moss-covered branches. Look like something from another era, and the light on the foreground makes a wonderful contrast with the darker background moss. I would think about cropping out the tan reflection at the bottom.

Does not matter to me what you did Jenny on this one, as I "really" like it!

This is really interesting, Jenny. My brain is seeing something it has never seen before and I can't quite process it. The photo is fascinating to me; I know I am seeing reflection and the bird is a good clue to that, but where it starts is a mystery. I like the mood of the photo and would like to see this about 5 time larger. 8)

Jenny, I had to stare at this for awhile trying to make sense of it. The lighting on the cypress against a dark background and the blurred egret create a bit of mystery, making me wonder what else might be lurking in those dark areas. I like it!

Jenny,
This is very artistic and interesting - it has an ethereal feel to it. The moody quality of light is incredible. I like the reflections in the bottom, but wish they weren't cut off.
A large print would do this much more justice than a computer monitor!
