Someone suggested that the last floating leaf image I posted would have been improved with a diagonal composition. I agree with him wholeheartedly! This was not taken with the diagonal comp suggestion in mind but I will consider it the next time I'm out looking for interesting things to photograph. All comments are welcome. Thanks for looking.

This is really nice Laura. The leaf is in just the right spot where it is literally "framed" by the clouds. Nice challenge to the eyes and sense of depth perception. I think you could develop a series of lonely leaves on water. :)

Very nice Laura with the leaf strategically placed at a power point.

Nice shot. Good comp. There is alot to study here making this successful including cloud patterns, the leaf and then the pattern of the water coming over the leaf where it is submerged. Well done..

Very nice. Cloud formations really make the shot and the contrast with the water tension with the leaf if excellent.

Simply more artwork at its finest!!! 8)
The detail really draws me in to where the leaf meats the water, and as if that narrow line just acts like a frame for the leaf.
There is a "no nit" vote from me Laura on this one!
Wonderful!!!

Expertly placed in the frame and beautifully done!

I liked the other one a bit better. I think the leaf has a bit too much glare on it, but that's minor and just one person's thoughts.

Laura, I really like how you framed the leaf by clouds. I probably would walk right by this scene without seeing the possibilities. Simply beautiful!
