Taken many years ago on an island off the Welsh coast, this young wheatear was sunbathing and let me approach quite close. OM2N camera, Tamron 300mm f5.6 at full aperture, very harsh light! Fuji slide film 50 ISO long before Velvia, tripod.

This appears a little noisy Monique, maybe neat image or noise ninja would be helpful although scanned slides do struggle against dslr's in terms of noise.

Nice image despite the harsh light though. Which Island were you on ?

This was taken on Skokholm island where you could spend a whole week in very basic accommodation. I am aware of the noise and have not tried to remove it ... yet! The film was processed on the island using filtered rain water as there was no running water, you can imagine the drying conditions! Thanks for your helpful comments.

What a cute little youngster. How cool to get so close like this. A little work in PS on the noise and maybe some shadow/highlight would bring out the most of this cutie.

An interesting bird, Monik!
High contrast and bit noisy ... I'm sure it's just the poor scan itself.
