This is the reason it was so difficult to isolate the bears from their "enviromnment" as posted in Flora, Fauna and macro.
They were at the tundra buggy motel just under the buggies. they did not move much, Other tundra buggies had come to the "motel site" and it was crowded. the three bears, mama and two cubs wer e cking salt and looking at the motel buggies as canned food, but they did not have can openers. An interesting trip to Churchill. I was booked for 10 days, the bayfroze over after two days and I left. Those who stayed had views of snowy owls, fox, wolves, but I was told none close enough for any photo opportunities. In the meanwhile, I was able to get to Bolsa and do some other things closer tohome. I am looking forward to a return to Churchill some day and having more than two days of opportunities.
