This wood frog was photographed last year at this time. It has been too cold here for them to be out yet this year. I can't wait.
I used two flash units and cross polarization to reduce the reflections from the frogs wet skin.

Canon EOS-1DS
Shutter speed: 1/200 sec
Aperture: 22
Exposure mode: Manual
Flash: On
Metering mode: Center-weighted average
ISO: 200
Focal length: 180mm

Awesome Wil. I love the lack of reflections by your set up. The green stuff upper right adds alot.. Fine work..

A bright eye and excellent details - impressively free of reflective highlights.

Great shot, detail super. My only nit - IMHO - I might have lowered the angle a little more.

David,
I had thought of that but, I wanted to show the patterns on the back as well as the face. I guess we have to compromise to get the shot we want.
Thanks,

Great Image Wil. Cracks me up as it looks like he's got a watch band on! Given your comments that's one timely frog :D :D I also have a child hood quilt to admit. I would capture frogs to use as live bait for Large Mouth Bass fishing - but with no photo's were involved.

A very nice frog shot. I have trouble getting them to stand still.
