I found that I liked my images of small vignettes from the UP forests better than the bigger landscapes in general. We had enough calm conditions to allow shooting at slower shutter speeds and with a lot of detail. It was almost enough to make me want to try a 4x5!

Is this a bit magenta? I tried the neutral eye dropper on this thinking it was a bit cool, now it looks a bit warm??

I think it looks just right also. A simple but effective composition that captures the season.

Very nice, well-balanced composition. I don't see any off-color cast.

Hi Cindy---I like the dof in this photo and the details, and softer colors also work very well. There seems to be a very, very small amount of magenta in the image but I think it works well because it is mixed with blue and gives a bit of lavendar tint to the tree barks. These three areas of bluish-magenta in the trees form a visual triangle and that helps separate out those areas of trees. Kinda neat!

The colors look fine to me and my monitor is sensor calibrated. A simple and well done image.
