Vermont Foliage, Underhill, VT

Heather and I recently returned from a trip to Vermont; her home state. We drove for days looking for birch trees with color around them and, while this is not exactly what I wanted, I tried to make the most of. What I really wanted was a stand of trees with a splash of red, what I got was a lot of orange and one tree.

Great colors, and I like seeing the trunks partky hidden behind the leaves. Looks like the light was very good.

Gorgeous. It may not be what you were after but you certainly nailed this one.

Still a sweet image though, love the gold/red against the silver bark.

Greg:

the vertical format with birches to the right is a pleasing composition. I'm thinking that the mild use of a polarizer would have removed some glare.

I always did like a "face full of color" like you have within this shot Greg.
Love it!! 8)

Intereresting light and subject Greg, but I find the composition too busy for my tastes.

Given the sunlight this is good - would love to see this under overcast. If you want the leaves to be red, well, you know how to accomplish that :D
