D30 70-200 flash.

Not sure this if fits in the motif categaory.

I love the look this guy had for me letting me know that I was just slightly inferior to him.

This is really sweet John. One of the nicest portraits I've seen. And by nice I mean scary, that looks like a huge ram and he doesn't look too happy!

Looks like he caught your scent... and with a 70-200 you were undoubtedly close.

Gorgeous ram- he certainly looks majestic to me, but I'm pretty partial to chasing dall sheep.

I like the framing with the mtns in the BG and the position of his head.

Tim...I'm a real sucker for sheep as well. I spent an afternoon with this guy and 3 other rams one winter day (I have the frozen fingers and toes to prove it :( ) and they would actually put their heads down and go to sleep with me there, but every once in a while this guy (the biggest one) would raise his head and give me and the other rams this "down the nose" look as if to keep us in our place.

I really like the portrait of the sheep. Not so sure about the diagonal line of the mountains. I don't know what you could have done about it but I find it distracting.

A different angle here John, but lots of in your face impact. Nice use of flash to balance background conditions.. Thanks for sharing..
