A Clingfish lives inside a Crinoid and assumes the color of the host organism. It is about an inch long, likes to hide, and the Crinoid helps by constantly wrapping its arms around the Clingfish to protect it.

Enjoy the underwater realm and comments are welcome.

There seems to be a lot of the 'you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours' partnerships underwater Hugh and this shot shows that well! 8) 8) 8) :)

Looks like a comfy spot to me! At first I thought it rather busy, but then I got into the patterns and swirls. Great accent with the white stripes of the Clingfish.

Nice shot of the crinoid shrimp, Hugh. It is not easy to get the fish in an open spot to get a shot without disturbing the crinoid, making shots impossible with the arms waving around obscuring any critters within. Crinoids and some urchins have a number of hangers-on and livers-in that are fun to find. Fish, crabs, shrimp, lobsters (small squat lobsters), and even starfish can be found in the maze of arms of crinoids and spines of urchins living with but not harming their hosts.

Amazing image. Hard to believe I'm looking at a creature shot underwater about an inch long.
Colors are beautiful and detail excellent.

Hard to believe that the fish is only 1 inch long. Interesting to see the interaction you have captured so well here.
