Rufous Hummingbird 10D, 100-400mm. 1/1000, F 5.6, ISO-400.

This Rufous Hummingbird was visiting a feeder in a backyard in Niagara Falls for over two months. Unfortunately, around Christmas her body was found next to the small Christmas tree the owners had set up for her, apparently having been struck by something.:(

Brandon,

that is a way cool picture. The pose, the sharpness, everything.
4 down, 2 to go.

A very sweet image. So sad to hear that she did not make it.

I really like the head turn on this one Brandon! That, with the wings lifted is great.
