Scissor-tailed Flycatcher (Tyrannus forficatus)
ENP, Anhinga Trail Environs, FL, on 30 Oct 2004

I posted an image of a scissor-tail a few months ago. Here is another.

Edward Scissor Tails! Love the composition on this one of such a unique bird. I've never seen one either.

Beautiful composition, Sandy.

I think this species is difficult to photograph, of course you have to have the full tail included but then the body is small in the frame. You've achieved great detail and color in the body. Good stuff!!

Great job fitting that tail in to the composition so well! The light is so pretty on it, really makes all the rosey colors on the bird stand out.

Beautiful, Sandy. I don't get this close to these guys very often.

I'd like to see a touch more DOF to sharpen up the end of the tail, but that's pretty minor.
