This is a shot from a couple of Septembers ago, taken while camping a few miles (as the crow flies) from my house. There are at least 3 species of geranium that grow wild in this area, but I don't remember which one this is.

Equipment: Nikon F4, 100mm macro, polarizer, tripod. Ektachrome 100VS, 2.5 sec at f/16.

Thanks for looking!

A nice simple composition done well. Possibly a bit oversaturated as the green is a bit on the bright side.

Nice shot Tom, simple and effective with the one coloured leaf.

Very nice - love the colors - cropping it from the bottom to a square makes it even more effective to me.

Tom -- This is a very nice shot, with excellent use of complementary colors and a great job of maintaining sharp focus throughout. I really like where you placed the focal point of the image in the frame.

This is a great shot. I do agree with E.J. on the cropping. It would take that little piece of yellow (dead looking) portion of the leaf out.

Neat shot, I like the super velvia look. Some don't . It is a personal choice, as with all the controversy when Velvia was first brought out. I like the "Super Velvia" button in Photoshop,
I agree with the removal of the yellowish spot.
