George Lepp wrote on this method and finally I tried it. By adding a 12mm extension tube to a 15mm fish eye, your focal plane is on the front of the lens.
I laid the poppy on the lens and shot it backlit. When I put it on the screen, I noticed that I had clipped off a pistol. I cloned on the one which stands over the frame. EJ might have a comment on my frames about this. The effect is sort of 3D like some others I have played with. D60, 15mm Sigme f2.8, 12mm extension tube. ISO 400, comp -1, 125@f11 Steve Bein
