Hi all, havent done much macro work in my day but figured id give it a little more attention. Im learning theres alot that can be done with macro including finding a great subject being abstract or what have you, taking a great image of it and making a huge print that looks excellent. Im hoping to find my own vision for macro work as i experiment with it. For now, heres an image i took in my backyard of an angel's trumpet.

Thanks for any comments,
robert........

The composition is great. I like the detail caught in the in-focus area and the way the image blurs towards the top as your eye exits the image. Very nicely done.

Robert -- Very nice study of pattern and texture, with a well done exposure and nice monochrome look. I think I might like it even more had you adjusted your plane of focus, combined with depth of field, to keep it sharp all the way to the top.

Very nice - one more stop of DOF whould take it to the next level by keeping the subject sharp to the top of the frame.

Very nice image, Robert! I agree about more DOF, but I really like the colors here, and your composition is excellent!

Robert, really cool composition, especially with the diagonals and the little hairs.
