What immediately struck me was the diagonal formed by the shadow line and the lines of the roofs of the left side houses.

Neat post. I'd like to see a tighter crop, excluding the pickup on the right edge.

I guess I wish the pickup wasn't there, but cropping it off would weaken the very strong diagonal created by the shadow. I like how the shadow doesn't intersect exactly with the corners of the frame.

An inch lower so that the red tree doesn't merge with the foreground tree would strengthen this for me.

I'm not so much into so many modern elements like the cars and power lines - personal thing I guess. What this does tell me is that is a really neat neighborhood with a tree worth looking at. For that point, I think it is very nice and it makes me want to visit. Maybe not the idea nature/mankind photo in my mind, but it does have a message.

I really believe "nature" is everywhere. Even though I live in a 6 million acre (larger than the state of Vermont) forest preserve, I don't think nature is only found in a park or great range.
