I'm not a great landscape photographer myself Blovius, but this image doesn't realy work for me. There are no elements that leads on into the image, and I find the dead tree in the center rather distracting. Just my thoughts...

After looking at this for a while, I like the red foreground vegetation the best so cropping off the shadowy area at the bottom emphasizes it and strengthens the overall composition to me.

to my eye, the red is redder because of the juxstaposed neutral of the shadow. I also like the fact that the complexity of the shadow minics and mirrors the complexity of the red vine.
