Same bear as last bear post, but he stood up and scratched leaving the wet hindquarters darker than the rest of his drier fur.
Same run off patterns in the sand behind. Same almost monochrome feel except the tongue.

My goodness that tongue does jump at at you! I like his body twist and the water drops as well. I tried scrolling up and down and also think this works nicely with the top light band cropped out. A fun shot for sure.

Don't know why but the banding in this image does not borher me as much as the last one. Both fine images. You did well to keep detail in the wet fur and the dry. The tongue is nice but I'm partial to the water dripping from the back leg.

Laura,
Thanks, I agree with the crop. Looks better that way.

The tongue action is great! That background is also so different than what you see in brown bears shots.

Reminds me of my Dad- he sorta sticks his tongue out when he's really concentrating on something.

Hey Steve,

This is very cool. Well composed, I think, the right balance of foreground and background, for me.

The eye looks a lot better here. Did you work this one in P/S at all? It's not nearly as noticable as the previous one. The tongue stands out perhaps a bit too much to me .. like it's saturated a hair more than it should be.

Aren't they just magnificent creatures to experience, and to shoot? Beautiful!

Cheers

Carl

Nicely captured. Love the action with the foot up and the tongue out. (Michael Jordan imitation? :) ) Would also take off the top light band.
