Lovely bright yellow to easily spot on the ground. he looks like he had paint poured on him.

I got the 1.4 TC for my lens too but hadn't tried it out yet. From this shot looks like it works well.

I wasn't aware that Eastern Meadowlarks would be here now in Ontario, but as you stated, an early arrival, no doubt. Great find and image, Karl. ( Haven't seen one for quite some time, so a species that is on the list for this year).
