Beach Stone-Curlews

A pair of beach stone-curlews (Exastus magnnirostris) having a discussion. Not sure the subject, but I suspect around mating, as they are normally alone outside mating season. A bit tight, but didn't want to take of the extender on the beach.

ISO500, 600mm, f5.6, 1/4000, on A1.

Very dramatic image, Greg. All the wingtips are captured here, so to me, the main subject matter of the photograph ( the interaction of the two birds), is well represented.
