 CANON 100-500RF @ 300mm F5.6 @ 1/640 ISO 1600 This image is from last summer, and shows a female feeding at a penstemon plant, which bloomed twice during that time period. Due to the delicate nature of the stems, they are very susceptible to motion from wind, so a calm day makes feeding for the hummingbirds easier, and better conditions to take photographs.
