In some places probably such scenes are a dime a dozen. So I thought why not try a higher mag rate, zooming in on the head area of mummy lynx.
Most of the shots are off the mark, but this one seems ok.

Such images are not particularly aesthetically pleasing....more of a fascination with details type of shot...details that are invisible to the casual eye...what do you think?

90D, Tamron90, Raynox250, 1/200, f16, built-in flash with a tiny DIY diffuser, handhold approach with manual focussing, no crop.

Anyway, hope its interesting and comments welcomed.

I like this perspective and the idea of showing the partial details to emphasize the body and head shapes and colors. A refreshing view.

Fascinating head and eye details - a fine choice of perspective on the spider.

I don't always want to see ALL of a spider Darren........        A fascination with details type of shot works very nicely here!  Well done.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for the comments. I am always in awe of those extreme hi mag shots of spiders by the likes of Thomas Shahan and Nicky Bay (my fren) and to have any type of closeup shot is gratifying.

Cheers....
