R5, RF600f4, 1.4x, 1/4000s, f/8, ISO 1600, manual

Photographed at Barnegat Light, this male Harlequin was so close that I went for a portray. I find it interesting that the bill between nare and white plumage looks almost like a fingerprint. Please click on image for a larger view.

Beautiful intimate portrait Axel - yes I can see the 'fingerprint' on the base of the bill! I wonder if they are all unique?
