Short-Eared Owl from Livingston County NY last Friday. The last image of tis owl showed it taking off from its post. In this image the owl decided to fly right toward us when leaving the post. We were shooting at the highest frame rate. The bird was about 40 feet away and its left wing was clipped out of the frame at 500mm. I felt there was enough detail to crop tightly on the owl’s face and not worry about the wing. What do you think? Enough detail? Using car as a blind.
