Short Eared Owl Take Off

Short-Eared Owl from last Friday in Livingston County, NY. After waiting around until dusk when the shorties are active this beauty treated us by landing on the post about 60 feet away from our car. We had a great opportunity to photograph it both on the post and in flight. This is the “Take Off”. Car used as a blind.

Remember, a little mild insanity keeps us healthy
