An archaic English name for a White male deer, steeped in various mythology and legend, some bearing good omen and some not, depending on the country of origin.
In British Folklore, it has been adopted as a symbol of Royalty, favoured by Richard III. In British Publore, a favoured name for many Inn's of ill repute.... They are quite rare but less so in Royal Parks. (Rare enough to be my first ever capture of a White Hart). Not an albino though as the eyes are brown. Z9 and the 800PF. Please feel free to view uncompressed. Thanks for looking. David Fletcher Moderator. Birds, Photo & Digital Art
