Nothing ever gets missed by these deer. I was sitting, watching the woods for deer activity, and an ear flick alerted me to its location. (Sika male).

There was so much cover I never did see any more of the full body shape.

Well spotted! Excellent illustration of the more elusive deer behaviour, Dave. This portrays so well how they can 'hide in plain sight' - and probably not even be spotted by the less observant wildlife watchers.
