My oh my,it's very quiet here in landscapes.Is everyone on holiday?


Three Shires Head is the point on Axe Edge Moor where Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire meet. It is on the River Dane, which marks the Cheshire border in this area.
Also, in bygone times thieves used to use this spot to evade capture,as they could flit from one county to another very easily.

It does make you wonder sometimes, as participation ebbs and flows, Peter.  Shorter days and much colder weather usually brings back more attendance.

I love your choice of composition here and the perspective is lovely for these falls with the peat stained water.  So much to enjoy in this scene!
