I have been contacted by someone via Facebook who would like to buy some of my images as NFT. Not much info on their FB page,so I am leaning towards not bothering.  Has anyone else sold their images as NFT?

Obviously you have to make your own decision, Peter, and I would be interested to hear what others think. Personally, I wouldn't touch this with a barge pole!

I would be hesitant, too, considering how things are going with NFT. If you are not familiar with NFT, you might want to google NFT scams, not very reassuring.

Sounds like a scammer looking for bait!

I'd stay far away, these are almost universally scams.

I played along with a NFT request last year knowing it was a scam. This girl wanted to use an image, I agreed. It went smooth until she asked for a bank account number so her "client" could deposit a large sum of money into for the use of my image. I explained to her that as the legal owner of the image she wanted, I give her permission to use the image however she wanted and I did not want and would not take any compensation for it.  I never saw anyone try so hard to "give" me money before. She said there was no way her 'client' could use my image without paying for it. I told her there was no way I was going to except payment for it, so I guess we are done.  Blocked her account on FB and that's that.
It was kind of funny to me....  I knew there was going to be a catch somewhere.
