Out looking for a lion we were driving into the hills. The sun was barely up and the golden hour was lingering in its last lap. Our ranger/guide  drove us past a tower of giraffes totally focussed on the non-existent lion!! And that was soon changed when i got their attention to this jaw dropping scene. And we spent the next 30 mins till the sun changed to harsh silver ball! And I was in a candy store......

Hope you like the image!

Stunning shot! How wonderful to have seen this and captured these beautiful giraffes in the rising sun. Delicious! ;)

I like your wider view to give them room to gaze into, and very nice use of the rising sun rays - although I would be tempted to take a strip off the left side and remove that extra giraffe head and just leave the four with visible extended necks. Nicely done!

Carol,
I was bothered too with just the head only sticking out  and taking that out was very easy - i was just going with the ODD number concept! I will have to rummage thru the files and see if i have a similar shot with just 3 giraffes.
Thanks for the constructive comments - much appreciated

I appreciate your dilemma Ramesh, but I always go with what 'feels right' for me, rather than the 'rules' - which are only a guideline, and doesn't always give the best result IMO.   In this instance I think the four giraffe works perfectly.
