Photographed in Rhode Island. This guy came out of nowhere and flew in front of some reeds.

A different look, with the hood swept back- very nice image, Axel.( Most merganser photos seem to be on water, so yours is somewhat unique).

Great that you notice it had captured it creating an excellent image. Seen them today seven of them but they don't trust people
and swim away.

He looks very sleek with his hood down for streamlined flight. Like the water droplets too. Nice one!
