Hope this one fits the motif.
Photographed in the Timbavati Game Reserve (South Africa), July 2001.
This big male leopard was stalking a herd of impala but was not succesfulf in killing one.

Ooh boy, is all I can say.

I showed this to an ex ranger from Kruger and his words ".. I've been twenty years in Kruger and never saw a leopard hunt!!!!.."

Very good Bart and again an excellent comp.

Very, very nice. Love the low to the ground look, and very sharp. I've seen a couple of leopard "hunts" - consisting of watching the leopard wait for something to approach and then slink a couple of feet. Watching one stalk must be quite the experience! My only suggestion, which sounds almost heretical, would be for a bit more room, especially in front, although I would have shot tight first too. (Hope you're going to show more of this guy!)

Excellent shot, Bart. A really beautiful animal with a great facial expression in great light. My only wish would be for a better view of the front legs.

Great shot Bart. That stare tells you he is hunting and very intent on his prey.
