This was along the road on the way to see my first moose (in the wild). I liked the contrasts in colors, ergo I took the shot.

I desaturated it a bit and cropped it so that the grass in the FG would not be so prominent.

Any comments are welcome.

The first thing that came to mind Justin was that I really like the abstract type quality in this composition!
I think that it would pop a little more if a little levels/curves action was made or some contrast added.
Still, .............. you gotta love it! Nice eye Justin!! 8)

Nicely done- can't beat colors like that. The birch bark is exposed perfectly. I might trim it a bit on the right to eliminate the black area since I find it distracting. Some saturation would certinly help.

Very nice Justin! Maybe a lower shooting angle would have blurred the BG a bit more.

Nice composition.

I'd agree that it could be made to pop a bit more in PS.

Keep these coming Justin. This looks good. I do agree that it could be improved by blurring the background and maybe lowering your angle. However, I love the shot.

Justin,

Well done. I like the composition and the exposure is right on but I agree a little more contrast/saturation or work in levels would really make this image stand out more.
