Little different from my usual, but thought it fit the theme. An apparently solitary female was waiting in ambush for a herd of zebra slowly grazing their way in her direction. (They spotted her and escaped.) Our guide was pretty sure that there were other lions around waiting in a trap but we could see any of them. Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania.

D30, 100-400 & 1.4TC, 1/200 at f8, ISO 100.

I like the nice subdued light and lioness in the environment. I might be tempted to crop out some of the environment (gee...reminds me of a guy who got 20 crop suggestions on one photo) as it's not all that compelling or diverse. Just a personal preference however.
