I had to grab this one quick before the guy at the botanical gardens would come by with the lawn mower and make a mess of things!
This is a dead and "very dry" moth that is within a spiderweb of a argiope spider. There was another insect, very similar to a yellow jacket, that would fly into the area of the moth to inspect these eggs (or whatever it is) and would come back every few minutes to look at those eggs. At times, the spider would come down while this yellow jacket looking insect would come around, but never bother it while it was looking at the eggs. Maybe they are in a way benefiting from each other, but how I don't know. The dead moth I guess acted like a tent/shelter for these eggs. I have never seen this before, and thought I would share it here. Could not get a shot of the yellow jacket (?), or the spider, as they moved pretty darn fast!!! Take care everyone!
