Sadly, this will be the end of Africa's wildlife.  
 
When is the human species going to wake up and realize that it is reproducing itself to extinction? 

When is the world going to begin thinking about zero population growth?

And we're supposed to be sensitive to Save the Children?

Rampant population growth has been the scourge of 'development' across the world. In the post-contraception era one would have thought that the growth of humanity would have slowed down as people educated themselves.

Sadly, religious leaders continue to promote high fertility within their flock, numbers are still very important. God is greedy, wants more and more souls. If you can't convert, just produce your own! Combine this with a largely poor, uneducated and ignorant population and you are all set for a demographic explosion.

The wildlife has no chance. Never did.

I retreat to one of my favorite poems, Ozymandias by Percy Shelley

(I doubt that.  Man and wild beast have co-existed for a very long time.  Sure as more people encroach on wildlife habitat there'll be some conflict and wildlife usually loses).

(Sounds almost like an oxymoron :-)  I think in well developed countries we have the luxury to think about that)

(Doubt this would ever happen and more wishful thinking than anything)

And we're supposed to be sensitive to Save the Children?
